Success at Perryfields

After a very turbulent and challenging year, students at Perryfields High School were smiling when they received their GCSE results today. They managed to put the confusion that has come out in the press these last few days behind them, and focus on their bright and exciting futures ahead.

With a set of fantastic results, Manpreet is looking forward to starting the next stage of her journey at King Edwards VI, studying; Mathematics, Biology and Chemistry with the ambition of pursuing a career in Medicine. Joshua who was delighted with his results, can’t wait to get underway with his apprenticeship in plastering at Dudley College. Darcy and Zac are thrilled with their results both securing a place at Halesowen College to study a variety of A Levels. Finally, Murad has received an excellent set of results and he will be starting King Edwards VI Stourbridge to study; Chemistry, Biology and Geography.

Headteacher Ian Barton said “It has been an absolute pleasure providing this year group with their hard earned results. Despite their final year in school being cut short, they have results to be extremely proud of. Their grades are testament to their determination and dedication over the years and I very much look look forward to hearing about how their next chapters in education begin.”

The school would like to thank all their parents, staff and governors for their unyielding support in helping the children achieve the grades they deserve. Congratulations to all of our students – we are exceptionally proud of them and wish them the very best of luck in the future.

COVID: National Intervention – Tier 1

Due to the increased number of local COVID cases, we have been informed that Sandwell, along with Birmingham and Solihull, will be escalated as an area of National Intervention with regulations put in place. As a school we therefore have to refer to the Tier 1 advice in the school re-opening guidance.

Actions for Perryfields High School Students & Staff from Monday 14th September

Perryfields High School will remain open and continue to allow our students to attend, on site. No other additional restrictions will be in place with the exception of students and adults being expected to wear face masks when moving around the site, outside of classrooms and in corridors. Families are expected to provide face masks for their children and must observe good mask hygiene to keep the wearing of the mask effective. This will be explained to the students in tutor time.
